Fuel System Development Engineer
For our client, a Vancouver based alternative fuel systems technology company, we are currently looking for an intermediate or senior Fuel System Development Engineer to join their Vancouver HQ.
As an Intermediate Fuel System Development Engineer, you will apply your product development skills to advance the design and improve the quality of fuel supply components for the latest natural gas engines. By applying your modeling and testing experience, you will be involved throughout the design cycle, focusing on one of the following areas: gas control modules and/or diesel supply systems. You will also be responsible for the definition and continuous improvement of fuel system test methods and processes.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
5-7years (intermediate), 10+years (senior) of experience with product development in the automotive industry
Component and system modeling experience using AMESim
Strong understanding of APQP and common tools such as DOE, MSA, and accelerated test methods
Direct experience managing product development planning, validation and simulation activities, including data processing and reporting
Strong background in diesel engine sub-systems is essential
Experience with high-pressure gas or hydraulics for industrial products would be preferred
System Engineering and/or design experience is an asset
Exposure to software programs such as Pro-Engineer and PDM Link would be an asset
Must have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
